The Summary Meeting of 2018 Hong Kong Jockey Club Promote the Instructor of Exercise Prescription Holds in Beijing

The summary meeting of 2018 Hong Kong Jockey Club promote the instructor of exercise prescription was held in Beijing on May 17, 2019. Hosted by CISS and CSSS, supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the training program of exercise prescription instructor was held in Beijing, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Guangzhou in 2018, respectively. A total of 396 family doctors, general practitioners and community doctors participated in the training program, and 358 of them were obtained the exercise prescription instructor certificate issued by CSSS.

Feng Lianshi, vice president of CISS and vice chairman of CSSS, made a summary report on the program of the Hong Kong Jockey Club promote the instructor of exercise prescription. He emphasized that, in order to implement the “Healthy China 2030” plan, the training program of exercise prescription instructor achieved four innovations, i.e., it established the certification system of exercise prescription training in China, it organized a national experts team of exercise prescription training, it trained the first session of exercise prescription instructor in China, and it established the initial base of exercise prescription training. The representatives of tutors, students and staffs were shared their experiences as well. All of them acknowledged the training program of exercise prescription instructor, and they agreed that the exercise prescription will promote the public health effectively.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is the largest charity in Hong Kong. Adhering to the principle of “From the society and for the society”, the Hong Kong Jockey Club is very active in participating in charitable events. By integrating the resources of medical and sports fields, the CSSS established the national and industry standards in exercise prescription. The Hong Kong Jockey Club has focused on the promotion of public health for many years, and the aim of supporting exercise prescription instructor training is to benefit the public.
